Meet Dr. Bay
Dr. April Bay is a seasoned psychologist with over 30 years of experience, specializing in a diverse range of mental health issues across all age groups-from young children to seniors. Based in Reno, Dr. Bay has cultivated a broad expertise throughout her extensive career, becoming a trusted figure in the community for her work with emotional trauma and her proficiency in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Renowned for her collaborative approach, Dr. Bay is frequently sought out by fellow mental health professionals for consultation and supervision, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field. Additionally, she serves as an expert in family courts, proving valuable psychological analysis, insights, and recommendations. Dr. Bay’s dedication to her clients and her passion for mental health make her a respected leader in her field.
Dr. April Bay is at the forefront of the evolving landscape of mental health, where an expanding understanding of neuroplasticity and neuroscience is transforming the fields of psychology and psychiatry. Trained in 3D brain imaging and multiple modalities of EEG neurofeedback, including qEEG-guided neurofeedback, sLORETA, the Othmer Method using Infra-low frequencies, Live Z-Score training, SMR (sensorimotor Rhythm), Beta/Theta Ratio, Amplitude, Coherence and Phase training, as well as Alpha-Theta and Synchrony brain training modalities.

At this innovative clinic, she prioritizes brain wellness, employing advanced techniques such as Infra-Low Frequency (ILF) neurofeedback and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to super-charge mental health. Meet Dr. Teja
Nikhil Teja, MD is a double boarded psychiatrist who received his medical degree from Tulane University and completed his psychiatry residency and addiction psychiatry fellowship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He has broad experience across a variety of treatment settings including outpatient, inpatient, residential, consult and interventional psychiatry.
Dr. Teja has a longstanding interest in interventional psychiatry, particularly in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). As a research psychiatrist at the White River Junction VA, he conducted a clinical trial for a novel inhibitory TMS protocol for the treatment of PTSD. Dr. Teja has extensive experience in the management of mood disorders and is well versed in psychopharmacological, psychotherapeutic, lifestyle and interventional (ECT, TMS, Ketamine) modalities for treating psychiatric conditions. Currently, in addition to serving as medical director at TMS & Neurofeedback of Reno-Tahoe, he sees patients in his private practice and is also involved in medical education as an assistant professor at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
He has broad life experience and has lived and worked on three continents. In his spare time, Dr. Teja is an avid ice hockey player, closely follows financial markets and macroeconomics, and enjoys unconventional strength training.
